New 'World View' article published in Nature

This paper discusses the societal challenge of failing data protection and technology-linked loss of privacy, arguing for the need for broad anti-discrimination laws and practices to protect personal freedom. This argument is motivated by our work with Genom Austria and the Personal Genome Project, and by the fact that widely available genome sequencing technology will make it increasingly difficult to prevent all unauthorized access to personal genome information.
